Monthly Community Conference Call: February 2016
Doug Loescher interviews Rick Kennedy
How I'm Vulnerable and How I'm Valuable.
Nearly 55,000 North Americans become HIV positive each year and nearly 2/3 (30,000) are gay and bisexual men. As gay coaches we continue to experience the impact of this unfolding story; our identity, values and perspectives have been shaped by a generation of elders who were fighting for their lives. Our teleconference will explore our role as gay coaches in supporting the resilience and evolving identities of HIV positive men as they enter into new and valuable territory in their lives with HIV.
Doug Loescher interviews Rick Kennedy about his coaching experience working with gay men who are HIV positive and their partners. Rick has more than 17 years of experience working within the social profit sector on HIV/AIDS related issues. He is an ADLER Trained Coach (ATC) and the Co-Chair of the Ontario Advisory Committee on HIV/AIDS (OACHA). Rick Co-Founded the Positive Leadership Development Institute, a training program in leadership, communications and board governance that has supported more than 600 graduates in Canada and in Australia.
