"We can't think clearly about something until we can talk about it first."
As a Transformative Coach, I’m here to nurture your untapped potential, while moving you to higher levels of responsibility and accountability, to help you reach your goals.
I’m trained to listen, observe, and help you explore and understand the barriers that keep you from living the life you want.
I can also help you to identify and eliminate those pesky ‘blind spots’ – the places where we might see things from a distorted or unhealthy perspective – and suggest improvements to take you beyond them.
Coaching can be really helpful when people are stuck in a rut, struggling in a job/relationship, feel a bit directionless, overwhelmed or frustrated, or are plagued by a belief they're not good enough, or like something is ‘missing’.
And it's just as valuable when people are already doing well, but want to take certain aspects of their life to the next level.
As a gay man myself, I have a particular interest in working with the LGBTQI+ community.
We tend to face a unique set of challenges, including higher-than-usual rates of loneliness, anxiety, depression and addiction, and a range of other health-related issues – all of which can have an impact on our mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.
While things have improved for our community in recent years, we still face prejudice and oppression, and the feelings of shame that can stir in us.
Throw in the added pressures associated with things like body image, the potential toxicity of the ‘scene’, partying, hedonism, and growing older, and that’s a potentially challenging mix of issues to unpick and resolve.
Perhaps you’re struggling somehow, experiencing low self-esteem, or feeling lost or ‘stuck’.
Or perhaps you're doing well, but want to take certain aspects of your life to the next level.
Whatever you'd like to work on, coaching can be a valuable tool to help you find a new sense of strength, balance, clarity and purpose.
I’m ICF-accredited, and graduated from Animas Centre for Coaching, one of the UK’s leading coaching colleges. Their coaching Diploma brings a unique psychological approach to developing coaches who can work at depth with clients.
They’re also one of very few to be accredited by the 3 leading professional coaching associations – the ICF, the Association for Coaching, and EMCC.
In sessions, we might go to some surprising and unexpected places - but conversations can often look something like this:
• We talk (usually via Zoom).
• I listen, ask questions, observe and help you reflect on what you tell me.
• We explore your thoughts, habits, challenges, behaviours, beliefs, hopes, fears and goals (among other things) in more detail.
• I offer information, insights and ideas relating to your challenges.
• You set goals, take action, and discover new ways of thinking, doing, and being.
• Your life begins to transform.
Contact me for a free intro session and let’s talk about how I can help.
