A spiritual director serves as a companion on the journey of life and spiritual growth. I focus on the work of spiritual formation: my clients seek deep connection with the Holy as they understand it and, therefore, want to engage with spiritual practice, theological understanding, ethical living, and contemplative reflection to nurture that connection.

Generally, I meet with individual clients once/month for an hour of contemplation and conversation about the spiritual aspects of a client's life. I specialize in spiritual formation for people who often find themselves outside of mainstream institutions, whether because of theology or sexuality. When working with institutional clients, I help them develop frameworks, systems, and curricula for supporting professional and spiritual formation for denominations, congregations, and seminaries.  I work with the majority of my clients at a distance, via phone or video conference.
